Megathread: US Capitol Locked Down as Trump Supporters Clash with Police, Pence Evacuated | Part II

The U.S. Capitol locked down Wednesday with lawmakers inside as violent clashes broke out between supporters of President Donald Trump and police.
An announcement was played inside the Capitol as lawmakers were meeting and expected to vote to affirm Joe Biden’s victory. Due to an "external security threat," no one could enter or exit the Capitol complex, the recording said.
Both chambers abruptly went into recess.

Destructoid - Chris Carter - 10 / 10
To be clear, I'd still wholly recommend this version of 3D World even without Bowser's Fury. The tweaks are small overall, and Bowser's Fury isn't going to sate the most hardcore of Mario fans looking for a brand new game, but the package as a whole is magical. If you were one of the many who missed out on this Wii U classic, fix that.
Digitally Downloaded - Matt Sainsbury - 5 / 5 stars
An exceptional first release for Nintendo in 2021
GamesBeat - Mike Minotti - 5 / 5 stars
You can play a lot of 3D Mario games on your Switch. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is just as good as any of them. It contains makes the Wii U game feel better than you remember, and the bonus campaign makes the package one of the best ports Nintendo has brought to the Switch.
God is a Geek - Adam Cook - 10 / 10
Despite multiplayer now being online, it still feels superfluous, but otherwise Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury might just be one of those fabled "perfect" games.
Impulsegamer - Chris O'Connor - 5 / 5
Revisit some classic Mario gaming with some added elements to bring it some new life.
Nintendo Life - Chris Scullion - 10 / 10
Super Mario 3D World remains one of the better linear Mario games, and anyone playing it for the first time is in for an absolute treat. Add to that the curious bonus adventure that is Bowser's Fury and you've got a package that provides great value for money. It isn't without its flaws, but most of these (online multiplayer, repetitive missions in Bowser's Fury) relate to the new additions; the main game itself remains as pure and perfect as it was seven years ago. Had it just been Super Mario 3D World on its own, we'd be thoroughly recommending it anyway; Bowser's Fury is just the cherry on top.
VG247 - Alex Donaldson - 5 / 5 stars
Bowser’s Fury is a short experience – it’ll take a competent player a couple of hours to see all it has to offer, and a few hours more to drive it all the way to 100% completion – but it’s completely worthwhile. It has some great surprises, which is why I talk about it in such generalized terms. Bowser’s Fury would’ve made a great download-only, budget-price stand-alone – so as a bonus included with an already excellent game, its value can’t really be overstated.
Atomix - Alberto Desfassiaux - Spanish - 98 / 100
The best way to play on of the greatest Mario's games. Also, Bowser's Fury is an ambitious expansion with a lot of new ideas.
PowerUp! - Leo Stevenson - 9.8 / 10
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a showcase of the game design mastery which has made Nintendo the best in the business.
Areajugones - David Cruz - Spanish - 9.5 / 10
‎This is one of the best platforms in history, and its expansion is by no means a minor content, since at some times it shines with more personality than the original title. In short, an indispensable pack has played the video game on Wii U or not, and one of the most essential works of your Nintendo Switch.‎
Cerealkillerz - Manuel Barthes - German - 9.5 / 10
Although Super Mario 3D World is only an implementation for Nintendo Switch, it has not lost any of its charm and ingenuity. The loving optimization for the benefit of the gaming experience, as well as the bonus adventure Bowser's Fury, are convincing across the board and promise fun for up to four players. Even some questionable level designs can hardly tarnish the overall picture.
Nintendo Blast - Eduardo Comerlato - Portuguese - 9.5 / 10
Super Mario Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is a package that offers two different ways to experience one of the best 3D Mario adventure, making it ideal for the franchise’s 35th anniversary celebration. There is no doubt that the game is a two-way diversion, able to preserve elements of the past and paint majestic novelties around it, as Bowser Jr. does with his paintbrush in the new and fascinating Bowser’s Fury.
SECTOR.sk - Matúš Štrba - Slovak - 9.5 / 10
Super Mario 3D World is still great, fun and really rich in content. Bowser's Fury adds new layers of gampleay inspired by Sunshine to enjoy.
The Games Machine - Stefano Calzati - Italian - 9.5 / 10
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is an explosive pack. 3D World returns with an improved pace, while retaining the stellar gameplay that characterized it when it first launched, and of course being still as hilarious as it was back then. Bowser's Fury takes the lesson a step further, creating a small and dense open world that will put you to the test with a sense of urgency unlike any other Super Mario game. The result, needless to say, is pure, unadulterated joy.
Game Informer - Brian Shea - 9.3 / 10
This package combines tried-and-true gameplay and level design with unique concepts (plus an all-new game) to earn its place among the elite games in the franchise
Hobby Consolas - David Martinez - Spanish - 93 / 100
It´s not one, but two great platformers for Nintendo Switch. One of the greatest Wii U games (with improvement such as online multiplayer and photo mode) and a new Mario 3D game, not as big and ambitious as previous games, but equally fun and full of surprises.
Spaziogames - Valentino Cinefra - Italian - 9.3 / 10
If you love platforming (and cats) this is an absolute gem.
Video Chums - A.J. Maciejewski - 9.2 / 10
Super Mario 3D World is an excellent game so if you still haven't played it or simply want it on Switch, this will make a wonderful addition to your gaming library. Oh, and you also get a fantastic bonus game with Bowser's Fury so how could you go wrong?
Wccftech - Rosh Kelly - 9.1 / 10
Super Mario 3D World shows why Mario is an ageless franchise, with the seven-year-old game providing fresh fun and a delightful experience. Bowser's Fury is the exact opposite, showing just how exciting and experimental the series can be.
Critical Hit - Brad Lang - 9 / 10
Super Mario 3D is a great game to play solo or with friends and shows off some of Nintendo's best level design yet, while Bowser's Fury is an inventive take on the Mario formula that's more generous with its content than it ought to be. Both games make for a fantastic bundle and should be checked out by fans and non-fans alike.
Forbes - Ollie Barder - 9 / 10
Overall, this is a fantastic collection of Super Mario games. From the focused and demanding Super Mario 3D World to the more experimental, though still very well executed, open world take for Bowser’s Fury. Both games have a lot to offer and will keep you very busy unlocking their innermost secrets.
GAMES.CH - Benjamin Braun - German - 90 / 100
Bowser's Fury is much more than just a bonus . Despite it is relatively short, it still feels like a fully fleshed Mario jump and run. Packed with the great main game including the long missed online co-op mode Super Mario 3D World + Bowers's Fury is a must have for every Switch user.
GameMAG - Александр Копанев - Russian - 9 / 10
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury for Nintendo Switch effectively handles two important tasks: introducing new players to the classic game that came from the Wii U, as well as pleasing hungry fans with new great content. Definitely a must-play for all Super Mario fans!
GamePro - Tobias Veltin - German - 90 / 100
Super Mario 3D World is still a real fun package with no signs of ageing, which is made even more rewarding by Bowser's Fury.
GameSpew - Kim Snaith - 9 / 10
Aside from some repetition between the two titles, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is a joy from start to finish.
GameSpot - Steve Watts - 9 / 10
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury packages one of the best recent Mario games with a delightfully odd new experience.
Gameblog - Thomas Pillon - French - 9 / 10
Thans to its many clever tweaks, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury give the player many reasons to enjoy a great 3D platformer, now a little bit faster, and with friends around the globe online. Let's not forget Bowser's Fury, a tiny open world adventure which rightfully mixes gameplays from the Wii U and Switch episodes, and delivers a strong experience with a twist.
GamesRadar+ - Sam Loveridge - 4.5 / 5 stars
Quirky, creative, and constant good fun, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury blends Mario gameplay old and new with great success, creating a title that feels worthy of his 35th birthday celebrations.
Geeks & Com - Anthony Gravel - French - 9 / 10
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury offers much more than your regular Switch port with a brand new adventure that packs between 5 and 8 hours of great new original content. I loved my time spent in this new open world of Bowser's Fury and going through 3D World a second time sure was a blast. Hopefully, this new package gives the game the second life that it truly deserves.
IGN Italy - Mattia Ravanelli - Italian - 9 / 10
Simple and immediate, beautiful to see and fun even in multiplayer, Super Mario 3D World is the "what if" of the history of Super Mario. But with obvious limitations compared to Super Mario Odyssey and the other chapters in 3D. Bowser's Fury tries to beat new paths, without avoiding a few slips.
Metro GameCentral - 9 / 10
One of the best modern Super Mario titles is made that little bit better and accompanied by a brand-new game that bends the formula in new and exciting ways.
NintendoWorldReport - Neal Ronaghan - 9 / 10
If you've never played 3D World before or haven't touched it since the Wii U days, this is well worth the price of admission. Prospects get a little tougher if you're not interested in going through 3D World, because while Bowser's Fury is amazing, it's still approximately less than 10 hours of gameplay even if you do everything. But no matter what: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury might be one of the strongest Mario games available on Switch. The base game is fun and varied, while Bowser's Fury offers a distinctive, inventive, and superb open-world 3D Mario experience.
PCMag - Jordan Minor - 4.5 / 5 stars
Super Mario 3D World is an incredible and underplayed Wii U adventure that's now available on Switch. But Bowser’s Fury steals the show with its exciting and fresh take on a 3D Mario game.
Press Start - Shannon Grixti - 9 / 10
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a fantastic package that showcases what makes Nintendo games so special. Super Mario 3D World is just as good as when it released, and Bower's Fury is a surprisingly good standalone adventure that paves the way for the future of Mario.
Screen Rant - Riley Little - 4.5 / 5 stars
Bowser's Fury adds so much to the Wii U port.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is a delightful double act. Super Mario 3D World holds up well, and offers a unique multiplayer experience that works particularly well on Switch. Its opening worlds are designed to cater for that varied audience, while the second half injects some much needed difficulty and is best played solo. Bowser’s Fury is experimental in nature, and offers something completely different with a fully open world housing plenty of Shines to collect at a rapid pace. While neither quite reaches the dizzying heights of Super Mario Galaxy or Odyssey, it is a double dose of Mario doing things differently, and a fitting finale to Super Mario’s 35th anniversary.
The Digital Fix - Stephen Hudson - 9 / 10
Near-perfect platforming, gorgeous visuals and a joy-filled soundtrack make Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury one of the best Mario titles of all time, and an essential purchase for all Switch owners.
TheGamer - Dave Aubrey - 4.5 / 5 stars
Ultimately, Super Mario 3D World, in this package, is the best that game has ever been, with the increased speed and ease of multiplayer access making it far more enticing than ever before. Bowser’s Fury, meanwhile, is essentially the Super Mario Odyssey DLC that never was. It feels like Odyssey’s level and game design sensibilities, but placed in the Super Mario 3D World game engine, with all of the power-ups and quirks that game has to make something truly unique. Putting both of these games in one package is the best decision that Nintendo has made in a long while, as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is one of the best Mario offerings available on Nintendo Switch, which is lofty praise given the existence of Super Mario Maker 2. Now it just needs the option to play again, but as Luigi.

I can't really recommend Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury enough. Whether you've played the original game before or not, the addition of online multiplayer is a big win, while Bowser's Fury is a testament to just how pure a Mario game can be while still feeling fresh and exciting. Put simply; this is an essential game for Mario fans.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is both a welcome return for a platforming classic and a novel expansion of what made the game so special back on the Wii U. There's a solid chance that millions of players missed out on its excellence back in 2013, so now is the perfect time to take it for a spin.
Twinfinite - Chris Jecks - 4.5 / 5
The real star of the show, however, was Bowser’s Fury, which innovates on the foundations laid by previous 3D titles, to provide some of the most enjoyable, open-world platforming I’ve had the pleasure of playing. This is a must-buy for Switch owners and Mario fans alike and is sure to tide you over the next couple of months.
Everyeye.it - Marco Mottura - Italian - 8.8 / 10
As the title itself indicates, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury proves to be more than just the re-proposal in Nintendo Switch sauce of an exclusive Wii U not particularly lucky: the idea of inserting for once a completely new extra is very appreciable, and you find the ideas inside Bowser's Fury are not lacking at all. While the difference in tone and gameplay between the two games is quite right, the overall superiority of Super Mario 3D World over the new adventure is also evident, which ends up being an appendix or little more. The effect is that of a very solid pairing, which once again celebrates the undisputed supremacy of the Great N in the platforming field.
IGN Spain - David Soriano - Spanish - 8.8 / 10
Super Mario 3D World has aged quite well. It is still a very enjoyable adventure, updated in its rhythm and different enough from Super Mario Odyssey for those who came to Switch without going through Wii U to discover it. The big surprise is Bowser's Fury, which transcends the concept of simple DLC and adds mechanics and novelties of epic dimensions.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is an excellent case for why Nintendo should be porting more Wii U games to the Switch. With its improved presentation and the convenience of the Switch, this is definitely the optimal way to play Super Mario 3D World, even without much in the way of new features. Bowser’s Fury is also an excellent open-world Mario mini-adventure, which is probably worth the price of admission on its own. Admittedly, the multiplayer features some camera issues, particularly in Bowser’s Fury. However, that should not stop Mario fans of all ages from checking out Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, especially if they missed out on this much loved platformer the first time around.
Cubed3 - Az Elias - 8 / 10
Super Mario 3D World may not have had much added to it aside from an online function that is limited to only saving progress for the host, but it didn't necessarily need much else. Nintendo successfully found a way to evolve the 2D classics without going open world, and the result is one of the most consistently fresh and enjoyable games around, which, despite lacking the challenge of the NES games, has something for just about everyone. The bonus Bowser's Fury solo adventure is an absolute delight with a brilliant core idea that adds a crazy tension to Mario platforming, but it is hard to present a case for purchasing this pack just to play it. Whilst full of great content, it is too short-lived to feel worth the asking price, and really needs a standalone purchase option. When taking both games into account for those that have not played the original Wii U title, though, this is a cracking bundle of Mario goodness that encapsulates what everyone knows and still loves about the moustachioed hero after an enduring thirty-five years.
Daily Mirror - James Ide - 4 / 5 stars
Bowser's Fury offers some great new ideas and is much more than a simple DLC. It's a great Mario game in its own right, with enough to entice those who played 3D World before with a wholly new and compelling experience, as well as offering one of the most epic showdowns in Nintendo history.
Bowser's Fury is a great take on 3D Mario and finally makes Bowser the menacing villain he deserves to be. The game's only flaw is that it left me wishing there was more of it.
EGM - Michael Goroff - 8 / 10
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is the Wii U port that Switch owners have been waiting for. Besides the inclusion of online multiplayer, 3D World is the same good game that players already experienced on the Wii U, and fans of the series who missed it the first time around will enjoy its hybridization of 2D and 3D Mario gameplay. But the highlight of the package is Bowser's Fury, a scaled-down but surprisingly robust mini 3D Mario game that actually takes some chances.

Even with the Bowser’s Fury miss, the content is worth it. If you want one of the best and most versatile multiplayer experiences to date for the Nintendo Switch, online or offline, go with Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
CGMagazine - Jordan Biordi - 7 / 10
I don’t think Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury annoys me as much as it did on the Wii U, since the Switch already has the best Mario ever made on it; and I do think there is fun to be had with these games, even though I find them to be fairly frustrating. I would still recommend them if you enjoyed the originals, or maybe wanted to play them with younger gamers. Even though I might not go back to it very often, I don’t regret the time spent with it.

Two solid platformers in one; neither of which approaches the franchise's most dizzying heights.
Ars Technica - Kyle Orland - Unscored
Bowser’s Fury works just fine as an added bonus packaged with an under-appreciated platforming gem from the Wii U era. If you’ve never played 3D World before, this is a great chance to catch up on a fresh take on 3D Mario design. If you’re mainly interested in Bowser’s Fury, though, maybe wait until the strong ideas get expanded into a full, standalone game.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is essentially the same game on Switch that some of you may have experienced on Wii U. While there’s no denying that the new hardware can’t keep up with the game’s ambitions at times, this bundle is at its core another fantastic Mario experience.

Pentagon Official Elizondo makes statements regarding ETs, other species of humans, human consciousness, and the interdimensional nature of reality

For anyone that's been following the topic of UFO disclosure, the last few years have seen more official statements regarding the topic that range from an acknowledgement of a multi governmental cover up (via backchannel communication lines) to acknowledgement that we are not alone. Pentagon officials Chris Mellon and Luis Elizondo are at the forefront of this disclosure effort and Elizondo has made some notable statements recently in a series of podcast outreaches to the general public which are listed below. Edit: Several additional documented sources of information have been added to the end of this entry and these are a recommended read.
TLDR: The UFOs aren't ours, we have their crafts, at times the past present and future overlap and there isn't always an even transition between them, there are other species that have been present here that experience reality in a fundamentally different way than we do and there is an interdimensional component to this, human consciousness isn't confined to the body and the body is just a life support system that carries the consciousness for a set amount of time, Elizondo has handlers that ensure the information he gives out stays within certain parameters.
That UFO Podcast (2/1/2021): https://audioboom.com/posts/7788135-episode-27-luis-elizondo
Lue states he's doing these podcasts because there's a media blitz he's involved with and this is part of phase 2 to reach everybody. They just need us having the conversation and it's happening.
1) He's working on a new project with the Lakota tribe and references their oral history being consistent with what we are witnessing today. 2) senior govt officials are making fake accounts to monitor the public discourse on ufo twitter 3) he keeps alluding it to being an intelligence operation with phases and they're moving onto phase 2 the international cooperation phase 4) in reference to Chris Mellon saying "it's not foreign or ours", Lue agrees to this and says basically you can't give people the information all at the same time because they will choke on it. He said it's been here for awhile it's not ours and we have to exercise caution with giving out the information to the public. 5) he said we may be led to some surprisingly simple answers 6) The interviewer brought up Lue's quote on "what if it wasn't mankind but it's mankinds". Lue struggles to answer this. He says we live in a 3D world where time is a function of the fourth dimension where time is a linear process. Space and time are joint. Spacetime is flexible. He says the linear universe we experience isn't actually linear. He gives the example of an electron: initially we are taught it revolves around the atom, now we know about the electron cloud where it's both present and not present in the same area at any given time. The present is a moment in spacetime where the future is transitioning into the past. He uses a cigarette as an example: the future is the unburned part and the burnt part is the past. The burning area is the present. That's how we experience it, the infinitesimally small burning area. WHAT IF there are things that can experience a larger part of the present than we can. What if there's a SPECIES OUT THERE that can experience the universe with an extra level of dimension. Meaning more elements of the future and past are experienced in the present. He gives the example of him being there having the ability to have that same conversation he's presently having 5 minutes before then or 5 minutes after it. He alludes to the possibility of these UAP not being experienced/seen by us because we aren't intersecting with their dimension at particular points in time. 7) he says with the example of the cigarette burning there's an uneven burn, and this translates to our past present and future intersecting and overlapping unevenly at points. 8) mankinds: the possibilities are limitless, every time we put a limitation on nature it displays there aren't limits. 9) we need to be cautious how we define life. He says life 'out there' might be fairly abundant. 10) when the interviewer asks lue a few questions at the end, he asks, "is it mankind or mankinds", lue turns the question back at the interviewer who states "Mankinds plural", lue says he would go with Mankinds also. This is Elizondo explicitly stating yet again there are other humans out there, and this goes exactly with what Bigelow recently stated in a George Knapp interview that he believes there are ETs, hybrids, and others that look like humans that are right here walking among us. This dovetails also with a Russian general stating the same thing to a reporter live on video (referenced below)
He states disclosure is a process and we are in the middle of this right now. It's the recognition that the earth isn't the center of the solar system and we are in the throes of realizing this fact (humans aren't alone) There's a lot of opportunity with this
Astronaut states aliens may be here: https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/06/uk/helen-sharman-aliens-exist-scli-scn-gbr-intl/index.html

Lue: "I've seen data indicating uap interfere with uap strike capability both defense and offense In Russia it's brought the nuclear capabilities online and here it's turned them offline.
Interviewer says it's the most important statement in human history when Eric Davis briefed the Senate saying we have flying saucers. Interviewer asks Lue if it's true and Lue says it's true "Eric Davis doesn' lie" and then eventually says it's basically true.
2:08:20 interviewer asks "have you ever seen a ufo" Lue said he saw a lot of them because it was his job. Interviewer asks if he's seen one 'out' as a private citizen (while he was out in public not on government time) and he said he will answer it next time. He says he wants to present the information in a neutral manner with no personal bias or experiences introduced, just the facts. (Basically he's saying he saw UFOs while at work, meaning the government is in possession of multiple full UFOs or has many photos/videos of them.)
Elizondo says the UAP can go 13,000 mph in our atmosphere.
Elizondo describes ancient Roman battlefield observations of UFOs that looked like flaming shields that followed the soldiers from battlefield to battlefield.
The same observables we observe now are all there in accounts of UAPs from the middle ages, Roman times, pre recorded history of the indigenous people.
2:15:23 Interviewer: "is the tic tac not of this Earth"? Lue responds: "Is the tic tac us or foreign adversary technology the answer is no. Is it from this Earth we don't know. We don't know if they're from outer space inner space or in between. There's a whole reality around us that we don't interact with and we are only now starting to explore quantum states. All these realities are part of the natural environment which we just don't perceive. We are very limited as a species in 3 dimensional space with time as an aspect of the fourth dimension expressed in a linear fashion for us. That's not to say there's not other things all around us. We can only experience the universe through 5 senses, yet we know that we can only perceive 1% of 1% of the universe that's around us. Most of the universe remains completely invisible to us, I don't mean the universe out there, I mean the universe right here (our personal surroundings). We know less than 5% about our deepest oceans we don't have an understanding of what lives on our own planet let alone anywhere else. It's foolhardy for us to say definitively "the buck stops with us, if we can't see it then it doesn't exist", it's clearly not true".
Lue: We look at the world through a very narrow electromagnetic spectrum and that's just a sliver of what's really out there.
We look at everything in terms of on or off and the universe doesn't work in that way.
2:21 he insinuates there is backchannel communications between countries regarding UAPs. He then states that he hopes this topic forces enemy governments to become friends to work together to discuss this topic and work together.
2:25 the ships and submarines have nuclear technology which is what the UAP are interested in and they are conducting surveillance on our nuclear capabilities.
2:26 the uap are 100% not ours and absolutely not a test of our own technology on our carrier groups and anyone who says that doesn't know how the government works
2:29 interviewer asks him what he's working on, and he says a permanent solution because UAPs are a persistent problem. A persistent capability is needed to address a persistent problem. He and Chris Mellon are part of a long term effort and TTSA has its own separate mission.
2:32 he maintains his DoD contacts and this effort is about helping the government do the job it's supposed to do and it's a coordinated effort.
2:35 the interviewer basically asks him if he has a government handler. Lue says they contact him frequently "I get texts all the time" regarding keeping within certain parameters with what he's saying from "the man" aka the government. Lue is basically saying he has a government handler.
Project Unity (2/3/2021): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpi0YXboDQM
33:50 - interviewer asks "have you been warned by the govt to not discuss specific things" 33:14 - 34:30 lue basically says yes he has been warned by government affiliates (handlers) and he has to report regularly to security advisors.
38:50 - 40 : if people are abducted, that's kidnapping. We shouldn't be trusting of another external advanced species. We need to approach this cautiously.
He doesn't think these are "necessarily a threat"
41:33- interviewer asks "is a tic tac with it's surrounding field able to be susceptible to weapons- the theory is that if the warp field around the uap is strong enough it could create a white hole artificial event horizon that prevents anything from penetrating. This means more advanced weapons being developed are already ineffective against them. Does it mean we need to develop more advanced technology against the threats presented by the operators of UAPs."... Elizondo says if that's out there then it does present a threat especially if other countries get that technology
45- interviewer says there were practicing members of the occult that started NASA from the American side and from the Nazis during Operation Paperclip where the Nazis were brought over.
46:50- elizondo states there were always organizations and groups that influenced our country like the Freemasons and that wasn't a bad thing. The Freemasons aren't a bad force. There's a long deep rich history of all countries being influenced by outside groups that have specific agendas. It's not just NASA it's other institutions even the military there's symbolism in everything we have from the dollar bill to the flag.
51:58- Elizondo: the body itself doesn't define who we are as human beings. It's a life support mechanism for what's inside like a space ship. If you look at each brain, the brain has a lot of commonalities. That doesn't define what each human being is. There's another aspect, a soul, that is an indelible part of a human being that isn't contained within the body or the mind. Human consciousness is a quantum process and it could very well be that our brains are quantum computers and there may be a fundamental part of human beings that is not locked into a three dimensional world and that isn't a linear function of time.
57:20- Interviewer mentions the infamous slide 9 and Lue says it's true. This is notable. Edit: slide 9 can be found here: https://mindsublime.blogspot.com/2020/01/advanced-aerospace-threat-and.html?m=1
59- the interviewer asks if some of these sightings are psychological warfare being conducted against our own troops. Luis said these sightings aren't any form of warfare conducted by the US.
1:03:15- the interviewer said he used nonlocal consciousness to establish contact with some aspect of the phenomenon. He would visualize coherent thoughts and project them out into space outside at night (CE5). He began to see orbs at certain intervals. He said on Aug 25 2019 he witnessed a dark staticky cloud coming over his house then do a 90 degree change of course. The cloud then vanished and inside the cloud was a clear orange formation of orbs and it eventually vanished. He's seen them on three other occasions. He asks lue about the nexus between consciousness and quantum mechanics and the ability to exchange information over large ranges of distance. Lue said he's not surprised he's had those experiences he's spoken to many people including the pilots who have been affected profoundly to trying to pursue this topic after witnessing UAP activity.
We are witnessing a multi year government mediated disclosure effort that is giving us startling information at a slow rate to make it easier for the public to marinate on. This coincides with the official rollout of the Space Force and most likely new technology derived from extraterrestrial sources.
Here are some other interesting sources that have released information that dovetails with what Elizondo has said:
Robert Bigelow, CEO of Bigelow Aerospace and US defense contractor has been heavily associated with US DoD research into UFOs. He makes several remarkable statements in this interview that include 1) the phenomenon in the region of skinwalker ranch has been there for millennia and is intelligent, connected to UFOs (they appear there), and interdimensional. 2) crashed UFOs may have been intentionally left by ETs for us to try and reverse engineer 3) the ET presence has been here and there are likely ETs and hybrids that look like us and that are present among us:

20:30 onwards - you need a weightless manufacturing environment to manufacture the UFO metamaterials
22:20 onwards - we are a galactic embarrassment. We may not even be able to operate the machinery because it's consciousness driven. "We have studied Psy and phenomenology where some people can have an effect on micro PK and macro PK events and they're not supposed to be able to do that" . Bigelow is indicating here that the government has studied and verified that trained people can move objects via thought alone.
23:50 onwards- we still have the potential to turn these technologies into weapons (because we are mentally primitive).
24:50- if you were a species on another planet and had this (advanced) technology you would not give it to us
43:30 the brain and mind are separate. The brain is physical and the mind isnt. The brain can cease functioning but the mind continues. The mind is amorphous, it's outside the physical container. We think in terms of structure, that space has a limitation of distance and that there is such a thing as time. Neither of which he believes. "Time and space are infinite. What is the container for the mind? The brain is dead, but how can people in near death experiences describe things that happened when they're dead. They should have no access to the information."
53:15 onwards- Bigelow discusses physical apparitions that can be touched and felt. He states to Knapp that there are individuals they both know (DoD associated individuals) that have personally touched and felt these apparitions with significant controls (experimental controls).
1:09:40- the ETs are hybrids or look alike and could actually be among us. He says to follow the literature and the discarnate entities from skinwalker ranch are absolutely among us

Former Canadian Minister of Defense-
TLDR: mirrors what Elizondo has said, but Hellyer has been stating this for years. There are different species of aliens present here, some of these extraterrestrials look human and others don't, there are other humans out in the universe, there's been an increase in activity since humanity started using atomic weapons, there is a galactic federation that doesn't want to involve us because we are too primitive, the extraterrestrials want us to get our act together.

Colonel Uyrangê Hollanda- gave an interview about Operation Prato regarding a very heightened period of UFO activity that occured in the Brazilian Amazon.
https://youtu.be/qawjwWyIUMk
This is a summary: UFOs appeared to be studying the area and appeared with regularity along their own linear flight paths spanning hundreds of miles. The UFOs appeared to respond in a semi aggressive fashion after humans started shooting at the crafts (bullets and fireworks on different occasions). The UFOs would immobilize/slow down the people with a narrow green beam then give them a small burn with a narrow red beam. (My own opinion: the green beam interacts with the body's own electrical signals and affects the central nervous system). One man died from coming too close to a UFO due to the radiation from the craft. There were 9 separate types of UFOs recorded. 4 films 500 photographs and all are classified.
At 11:35 he describes the UFO he witnessed with military colleagues (30m in diameter, 200m in the air, disk, black, with a small yellow/amber light in the center). The craft brightened and emitted a yellow light then dimmed and repeated this 5 times. The craft then shut off the yellow emanating light, the small amber light in the center changed to blue, and the craft flew East (over the Atlantic). 13:40- he describes the noise coming from the craft as the pulsating sound emitted from an air conditioning unit. A second lesser sound emanating clearly from the craft was like the sound of pedaling a bicycle backwards.
15:46- he was directed to go to a site where a UFO was spotted outside of Belem. A UFO appeared and appeared different relative to his last sighting, it had a green/red light and a turbine type sound different from the previous UFO.
17:08- another one was witnessed with a yellow/amber colored light in the shape of an orb "sun" passed over tree level and over the river. He states the reflection was seen on the water and a "track" was left on the water (my opinion: not sure if that would be from air displacement or the levitating ability of the orb itself)
18:40- him and the other military personnel camped out at the river that night and witnessed another strongly lit orb "sun" much larger than the previous one. It got to where they were, switched off the light, and an object the size of an American football was there in its place. It moved slowly towards them and it had an amber light. When it came over them the light shut off and it resumed the shape of a large bright translucent orb 100m long and it had windows. The windows were lit up and along the center. After passing overhead it disappeared. He remarks it had the same pulsating deep sound of an air conditioner with the reverse bicycle brakes simultaneously.
21:44- the object reappeared at 1:30am the same night. It was a large bright orb "sun" emanating a beautiful blue light heading in the direction of Belem at tree level then it stopped and came towards them. The intensity of the light was extremely bright but didn't affect their eyes. It stopped in front of them and the light switched off after 3 minutes. In its place there was again the American Football shaped craft in a vertical position 70m in front of them and this craft was immense such that they had to bend their necks to look at the top of it. It stayed in that position for 3-5 minutes (didn't make any sound) and began going upwards. A green light appeared at the lower side and a red light at the top and these were blinking as the craft was going up slowly. It elevated to 1000m-1500m (estimated by the Air Force personnel witnessing the event). There was then a large blast (like thunder) and a flash and the object accelerated off with immense speed into the sky.
This is a well sourced research article documenting convincing UFO cases spanning from pre-Roman times up till the present: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342347097_Aliens_and_UFOs Note that there are commonalities in all of these cases which include orbs, craft shapes, yellow/ambeblue emanating lights, etc.

Ok so this is possibly the most interesting interview as to why the Pentagon has released UFO footage and is classifying UFOs as a potential threat. This individual is stating the US will label UFOs as a threat in order to increase defense spending, and this interview is from 2013:
Lachezar Filipov (Prof. Lachezar Filipov, Deputy Director of Sciences at the Bulgarian Space Research Institute) - states there will be an intentional move by the US to increase space related defense spending on the level of the proposed 1980s Strategic Defense Initiative (colloquially termed the "Star Wars Program": https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategic_Defense_Initiative ... See the section labeled Space Based Programs- it seems the current Space Force may include aspects that are a continuation of this). He took this stance after hearing this information from the president of the French Aeronautical and Astronautical Association (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_A%C3%A9ronautique_et_Astronautique_de_France) and from this official organization: (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groupe_d%27%C3%A9tudes_et_d%27informations_sur_les_ph%C3%A9nom%C3%A8nes_a%C3%A9rospatiaux_non_identifi%C3%A9s)
This interview is from 2013 (or earlier) so it's interesting to note what he's predicted looks like it's happening:

Cyberpunk 2077 - Review Thread

Game Information

Game Title: Cyberpunk 2077
Platforms:
Trailers:
Developer: CD PROJEKT RED
Publisher: CD PROJEKT RED
Review Aggregator:
OpenCritic - 87 average - 89% recommended - 62 reviews

Note from OpenCritic:

Please note: This game has significant disparities in performance, player experience, and review scores between the PC, next-gen consoles, Xbox One, and PS4 versions.
The OpenCritic team and several critics suspect that the developer, CD PROJEKT RED, intentionally sought to hide the true state of the game on Xbox One and PS4, with requirements such as only allowing pre-rendered game footage in reviews and not issuing review copies for PS4 and Xbox One versions.
This notice will be taken down in February 2021.

Recent News and Notable Information

SkillUp reports:
I have finished Cyberpunk but I will not have a review up today as I could not comply with CDPR"s embargo requirement that prohibited us from using our own recorded gameplay in the review. Instead, we were told to use b-roll, which is basically trailer footage.
Reviews should not be vehicles for rolling out more marketing material, so I'll put my review up when I'm able to show you the reality of the game with my own footage.
I'm also disappointed that no console review code was provided to any outlet...
Console games are often reviewed without their day one or even day zero patches, so Cyberpunk would not have been special in this regard. Its really lame that no reviewer can tell you how this game runs on console on the review embargo.
I absolutely love this game and I think CDPR did extraordinary work, but its clearly unfinished at this point and no review relying on trailer footage alone can properly convey that.
Fabian Mario Döhla (CDPR PR) regarding reviews being on the Day 1 patch or not (getting conflicting info regarding this so take it with a grain of salt):
They are not - a bunch of issues reviewers encountered (and reported) have been fixed already, some more are part of the update.
Toms Hardware Performance Review:
The minimum GPU listed is a GTX 780, with GTX 1060 6GB recommended for 1080p high, RTX 2060 for 1440p ultra, and an RTX 2080 Super for 4K ultra. Then there's the ray tracing additions, with the RTX 2060 listed as the minimum for 1080p and RT medium, 3070 for 1440p and RT ultra, and 3080 for 4K RT ultra. Based on what we're seeing, it looks like those recommendations are for 30-40 fps.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the ultimate power fantasy. A video game that takes the best of modern RPG, first-person shooter, stealth, and the open world and masterfully blends it into a single product. If Skyrim and GTA V marked a before and after for their genres at the beginning of the 2010s, Cyberpunk 2077 is called to do the same from this 2020.
Daily Mirror - James Ide - 5 / 5 stars
The game may not be perfect but given CD project Red's reputation for fixing and updating games Cyberpunk has a bright neon-lit future. It can proudly sit among its influences of Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner and Neuromancer (as well as games like Deus Ex, System Shock) with its augmented head held high.
It's been a long wait, but the end result is a massive sprawling RPG with an incredible story, heart-pounding action, solid mechanics and customisation, offering you unparalleled player choice in a deep, atmospheric world that I can't wait to plug myself back into.
Destructoid - Chris Carter - 7.5 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 is a victim of bloat, but you can choose to ignore a lot of it and take in the sights. That's where Night City is at its best, and I sincerely suggest that you take your time going through it, as rushing will only lead to disappointment. Even just strolling through though though, you'll probably be left wanting more.
Digital Spy - Owen Gough - 5 / 5 stars
We could wax lyrical about how good this game is for another ten years, and we still think the conversation would be relevant - so yes, we think Cyberpunk 2077 is the game of the decade. This is an event, and a big moment in gaming, because the brilliant Cyberpunk 2077 is laying down the stepping stones for greater feats in the future.

CD Projekt RED is willing to take an even bigger risk and dare something very different, combining elements that they have proven to know well and elements which they have no previous experience in.
Eurogamer - Chris Tapsell - Recommended
Exceptional characters, heartfelt storytelling and enjoyable action threaten to be engulfed by endless bugs and hasty, uneven design.
Everyeye.it - Alessandro Bruni - Italian - 9 / 10
And it is precisely for this reason that, despite all the technical problems of the production, we cannot in any way fail to assign a vote of excellence to the work of CDPR: the defects will disappear over time, but already now Cyberpunk 2077 is a title which undoubtedly deserves a place of honor in all players' library.
GAMES.CH - Benjamin Braun - German - 88 / 100
Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsequences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
GRYOnline.pl - Michał Mańka - Polish - 9 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 proves that the developers have improved their skills since fantastic The Witcher 3. It is an excellent action RPG that would benefit from a longer delay to polish the various issues. However, no amount of bugs can diminish the immense pleasure of exploring this world.
Gadgets 360 - Akhil Arora - 3 / 10
The era of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X has arrived, but Cyberpunk 2077 is currently running on those next-gen platforms via backwards compatibility. A true next-gen update isn't due until sometime in 2021. That means CD Projekt Red developed a game for three platforms, and it's running on an acceptable level on just one (PC), provided you have the hardware. That is just plain ridiculous.
Game Informer - Andrew Reiner - 9 / 10
An open world you can get lost in and continue finding new things to do
GameHaunt - Mark Louis Salazar - 4 / 5 stars
Cyberpunk 2077 is of massive ambition, and the characters in it are brilliantly written and performed.
GameMAG - Александр Копанев - Russian - 9 / 10
It's definitely feels like with Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt RED tried to tell a really meaningful story, while using as a backdrop truly a unique setting. And all the while the developers made sure that the game still feels approachable by all kind of people, and that it presents itself with insane graphical fidelity painting an image of an eerily realistic world of tommorow. We doubt there's too many people who don't believe in CD Projekt RED, but in case you're one of them, be warned - Cyberpunk 2077 is something that will change the way you look at the gaming industry as a whole.
GameOnAUS - Royce Wilson - Essential
This is an outstanding and highly enjoyable game, but take your time with it, do all the side missions (think of them as extensions of the main quest, in fact) and don’t rush the main storyline. You should absolutely take the earliest available opportunity to explore Night City and everything it has to offer. From the visuals to the music to the vibe, it’s a superb experience and one I am looking forward to spending a lot more time with.
GamePro - Dennis Michel - German - 83 / 100
Cyberpunk fascinates with its story and characters, but presents itself in a partially desolate state on consoles.
GameSpew - Richard Seagrave - 10 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t perfect, but it is ambitious. It marries a gripping story with a huge open world absolutely dripping with atmosphere; one in which, after fifty hours of gameplay, I still feel like I’ve only scratched its surface. Even now I’m itching to jump back in and complete yet more side jobs, not only because they’re enjoyable, but also just in case they offer V more options when it comes to ending their story.
GameSpot - Kallie Plagge - 7 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 has standout side quests and strong main characters, though its buggy, superficial world and lack of purpose bring it down.
GameWatcher - Marcello Perricone - 9 / 10
A remarkably well-executed open world game whose greatest heights exceed its deepest failings.
Gameblog - Gianni Molinaro - French - 7 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 is a new masterpiece from CD Projekt RED, a huge, dense, vibrant, colorfoul and dark Sci-Fi RPG that any fan of the genre should step in. First because it will provide the sensation that the story really depends on you choices and that you have everything you need for your playstyle. Then because streets, stores, buildings, inhabitants of Night City won't get out of your head easily. You'll be happy to interact with Keanu Reeves, but the real star is this city and all it provides in terms of atmosphere, game mechanics and stories.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the cyberpunk game of my dreams, it provides one of the most highly detailed environments I’ve ever seen, with an incredibly expansive and immersive narrative.
Gamers Heroes - Blaine Smith - 60 / 100
Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game, but it could have been an incredible game that defined a generation. Instead, it falls victim to its own ambition and the industry's constant desire to push, push, push it out. In its current state, it's not for the faint of heart, and even hardcore Cyberpunk fans may struggle to stay interested amidst all the crashes and issues. If you have yet to pick it up, wait a few months and you could very well be treated to the experience we were all hoping for at launch.
Gamersky - 不倒翁蜀黍 - Chinese - 9.1 / 10
Although there still exist a lot of technical glitches, Cyberpunk 2077 stands out in terms of cyberpunk concept, story-telling, characters, level-design, combat, and so forth. It's a pleasure to spend hundreds of hours in the Night City, and I believe it would be one of the greatest open-world RPGs in the next decade.
GamesBeat - Jeff Grubb - 3 / 5 stars

What Cyberpunk 2077 lacks in core campaign length, it makes up for with depth and soul, offering a world of intrigue and violence unlike any other.

The dark future certainly looks promising, thanks to the collective imagination of the team at CD Projekt Red, which seems to know no bounds. Cyberpunk 2077 certainly took a while to come to our hands, but be glad it’s finally here, for it is here to stay for a long time to come. And it certainly did not disappoint.

Cyberpunk 2077 throws you into a beautiful, dense cityscape and offers a staggering amount of flexibility in how you choose to take it from there.
IGN Italy - Davide Mancini - Italian - 9.3 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 is like an addictive, huge, impressive braindance, where the feelings are real, while sometimes you see the puppet strings. It's an ambitious RPG, where narration, decisions and dialogue are far more important than combat, wrapped around a lot of fun, but usual and not always perfect, action mechanics. Engaging and marvellous to play, Night City on high-end PCs is stunning to see and super stylish. Cyberpunk 2077 is worth the wait, because the adventure of V and Johnny Silverhand is greater than the sum of its parts.
INDIANTVCZ - Filip Kraucher - Czech - 10 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 offers a great sci-fi experience in which you can get lost for hours. It is not a revolutionary title in its genre, but it brings fresh changes. Whether it's new tasks, well-written dialogues, and characters, good stylized graphics, or very pleasant controls. Decision-making constructions leave you free where you need them. Conversely, they bind you in places where it is important. Everything fits together thanks to that. And if you were afraid that Cyberpunk 2077 would be a debacle. Throw this worry behind your head. Enjoy Night City to the fullest!

A stunning achievement in open world gameplay but one whose tonal inconsistencies and weak narrative undermines what could have been an all-time classic.
PC Gamer - James Davenport - 78 / 100
Some nice characters and stories nested in an astounding open world, undercut by jarring bugs at every turn.
PCGamesN - Richard Scott-Jones - 9 / 10
Groundbreaking, but not quite as much as you're hoping it is. Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't surpass its brilliant influences, but in Night City, Johnny Silverhand, and its chilling vision of hyper-capitalism, it claims territory of its own.
PCMag - 3.5 / 5 stars
I fell in love with Night City, warts and all. If its many bugs can get ironed out, Cyberpunk 2077 is a potential Game of the Year candidate. Here’s hoping that CD Projekt Red can quickly push out fixes.

Cyberpunk 2077 is staggering, overwhelming, and even surprising at times in its spectacle. Although my first dozen hours with the game has been marred by easy-to-fix problems, Nighty City, along with all it offers and all that call it home, makes for an intoxicating escape. Here's hoping the next one hundred hours are as utterly compelling.

We're still playing Cyberpunk 2077 in order to bring you a finished review, but it's impossible to recommend picking this game up at launch on PS4 or PS4 Pro. On PS5 via backwards compatibility, there's still fun to be had - a glimpse of the game's excellent potential - but even then, it's crippled by bugs and crashing issues. There's something truly special at the core of Cyberpunk 2077, but in its current state, it's simply not good enough. So far, a colossal disappointment.
RPG Site - 9 / 10
When Cyberpunk's grim setting and mix of gameplay systems land, it is a powerfully impressive experience - sprawling, dense, clever, witty, and most importantly damn good fun. Other times, it has all the charm of a moody, edgy teenager.
SECTOR.sk - Peter Dragula - Slovak - 10 / 10
Absolutely stunning action game with a lot of content, deep RPG progres and dialogue. Another master-piece from CD Projekt Red!
Saudi Gamer - عصام الشهوان - Arabic - 8 / 10
An ambitious, maybe over ambitious, thrilling ride that falters when it comes to execution. The developer's strength shines through the world building and production, resulting in a unique mix that is let down by a myriad list of technical and AI problems.
Screen Rant - 4 / 5 stars
Ultimately, it feels like Cyberpunk 2077 is a fitting bookend for the previous generation of games and a strong starting point for current-gen. Now it's time to start innovating again.

CD Projekt Red has set a new standard for what can be achieved in this sandbox. Cyberpunk 2077 is taking open-world gaming to the next generation.
The Games Machine - Danilo Dellafrana - Italian - 9.5 / 10
Cyberpunk 2077 is a wild journey within an incredibly fascinating setting; some technical uncertainties destined to disappear and a partial repetitiveness limit its glory, but overall it is an adventure worthy of William Gibson himself. Cyberpunk 2077 allowed me to finally feel immersed in that pen & paper RPG I discovered in 1988, pouring rain clouding my view in a kaleidoscope of neon signs, just as I had imagined while leafing through those pages. Some may not consider it a perfect game, but I do.
TheGamer - Kirk McKeand - 5 / 5 stars
I’m V and the game is Silverhand - I can’t get Cyberpunk 2077 out of my head. I’ve had it a week and played 70 hours, which is probably about as healthy as scooping out my face and replacing it with electronics, but it didn’t feel like work. Like a digital personality loaded onto a biochip, it felt like stepping into another life for a while. It’s a life I can’t wait to relive.

It might not reinvent the genre in every aspect, but for a fantastic story, an insanely detailed word, and brilliant dialogue, you’ve got to try it.
TrustedReviews - Jade King - 4 / 5 stars
CD Projekt Red has created a triumphant RPG experience with Cyberpunk 2077, yet it often falters under the weight of its own ambition thanks to inconsistent writing and narrative
Twisted Voxel - Ali Haider - 7 / 10
Too ambitious for its own good, Cyberpunk 2077 attempts to do too much and falters in its execution as a result. Despite its issues, it’s better than the sum of its parts and might be worth checking out for fans of action RPGs.
VG247 - James Billcliffe - 5 / 5 stars
In the midst of such intense anticipation and scrutiny, it’s easy to get carried away with what Cyberpunk 2077 could have been. The final experience might be more familiar than many predicted, with plenty of elements that aren’t perfect, but it’s dripping with detail and engaging stories. With so much to see and do, Cyberpunk 2077 is the kind of RPG where you blink and hours go by, which is just what we need to finish off 2020.
Windows Central - Jez Corden - 5 / 5 stars
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world masterpiece that features some of the most immersive and liberating storytelling this industry has to offer. With full freedom to choose V's personality, looks, and gameplay style, Cyberpunk 2077 gives the player an unrelenting amount of control in a world that delivers dozens upon dozens of hours of high-quality content. Cyberpunk 2077 is a mammoth achievement and solidifies CD Projekt RED's place at the top of the pile.
Worth Playing - Chris "Atom" DeAngelus - 6.5 / 10
It may not sound like it, but I enjoyed many aspects of Cyberpunk 2077. It doesn't hit the highs of The Witcher 3, but it still has a lot going for it. However, it was released in such an unfinished state that it's hard to give it a positive review. It's an 8.0 game hiding in a 4.0 game wrapper. I might change my tune in a few months, when patches have rolled out, but even when playing the best version available on the PlayStation systems, there's no getting around it: Cyberpunk 2077 might have been mocked for its delays, but it needed more of them. You'll still have fun if you pick it up now, but unless you're dying for it, it's best to wait until it's been patched and improved.

  • Exercise and shopping will be limited to five kilometres from your home. If there's no shops in your five-kilometre radius, you'll be able to travel to the ones closest to you.
  • Face masks will need to be worn indoors and outdoors - whenever you leave home.
  • You won't be able to have visitors to your home. And any public gatherings won't be able to go ahead.
  • For school students, that means learning from home, unless they need onsite supervision as the children of essential workers. Unis and TAFEs will close or move to remote learning. Childcare and kinders will remain open.
  • Gyms, pools, community centres, entertainment venues and libraries will all need to close.
  • All non-essential retail will close, but essential stores like supermarkets, bottle shops and pharmacies will remain open. Cafes and restaurants will only be able to offer take-away.
  • Hotel and accommodation providers will be able to stay open to support guests already staying onsite. No new bookings can be made.
  • Funerals will be able to go ahead with up to ten people. Weddings will need to be postponed.
  • A list of who is considered an essential worker will be made available online. But the short answer is - if you were a permitted worker during Stage 4 restrictions - you'll most likely be an essential worker now too. For everyone else, we need you to work from home.

  • Number of cases linked to this outbreak is 13.
    • Four quarantine workers are infected, this includes at least one authorised officer and one worker who delivered food to rooms.
    • Two returned travellers tested positive after they left quarantine. They caught the disease in the hotel.
    • Four household close contacts have been infected, two are close contacts of infected hotel quarantine staff, we don’t know about the other two yet. All would have been in quarantine for at least part of their infectious period.
    • Three index cases. The last cases are a family of three that are believed to have contracted the virus overseas and possibly due to the use of a “nebuliser” machine the virus from their room was able to spread out into the hotel. They don’t count as locally acquired cases but they are still part of the cluster.

I think that my love of books has led to a convincing theory in the case of Elisa Lam that explains her motivations for getting up on the roof and climbing into the tank

I’ve just finished watching Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel on Netflix. The documentary depicts several theories on the death of Elisa Lam, and also describes the huge variety of deaths and disturbing events that have taken place over the years at the Cecil Hotel, LA.
Here is a link for background information:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-55994935
When I watched the documentary (which I think is overly sensationalised) I felt strong empathy for Elisa, and a strange form of connection to somebody I’ve never met or followed online. I think her personality is instantly resonant with people who use social media sites as a form of making connections or discovering things about themselves and the world. Elisa was clearly a dreamer, who wanted to sculpt her life into a form that she held inside her imagination.
I can relate to this. As an over-thinking introvert, I tried to imagine Elisa’s intention for her dreams to peak into reality in her solo trip to LA.
Something came to my mind when I watched this. I tried to imagine a situation in which Elisa willingly adventured to the roof in order to see the twinkling lights of the city. I tried to imagine her willingly lowering herself into the water tank, with the intention that it would be a positive experience.
Her clear love of books and the idea of floating in a tank of water, almost as a form of meditation, made me think of Haruki Murakami- a Japanese author, who has written a couple of books I have read. In his book The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, the main character lowers himself into a disused well in order to contemplate his existence. I wondered whether Elisa would have read this book and enjoyed the dreamy nature of this potential experience.
I looked at Elisa’s Tumblr, curious to see whether she had shared anything Murakami-related. She had. Under her tag #lit she has shared a link to a New York Times interview with Haruki Murakami. What really surprised me was that, in this interview, Murakami describes his own near-drowning experience.
The Fierce Imagination of Haruki Murakami
“The coldness of the water and the darkness of the tunnel — the shape of that darkness. It’s scary. I think that’s why I’m attracted to darkness” said Murakami.
I also noticed that Elisa tagged several images with the term #watery. Warning: these images are not pleasant in the context. I would share the link but Reddit does not allow Tumblr posts to be shared.
I’ll let you come to your own conclusions regarding the possible connections with Murakami, drowning, the aesthetic of #watery and Elisa’s frame of mind. But I believe that Elisa had a fascination with the beauty and tragedy of floating underwater. On top of this she was likely going through a psychotic episode. There is a poetic sadness to these images. I believe she wanted to experience the coldness, stillness and darkness.
What do you think of this theory? Does anybody have anything else to add re these books and images? It would be interesting to know what book she had delivered to the hotel from The Last Bookstore, as I honestly believe that literature was a key influence on her ambitions and intentions. If anyone knows this, please share!

[Video Games] The time someone wrote an analysis on the taste and smell of a character's sweat.

Note: Because this drama began between 2010 and 2011, many of the sources have disappeared. I’ve had to rely on interviews, screenshots, my own memory, and other retellings to fully capture this story. I’ve told this to the best of my ability, but I understand there may be some errors. Thank you to u/BICEP_MCTRICEP for providing me further information!
Every fan community has The Story. It’s the incident older members of the fandom always pass down, a warning to the newer members of the line not to cross. In Harry Potter, it was My Immortal. In Voltron, it was the Sheith-Klance shipping war. In Mass Effect, it was the Tali Sweat Post.
Mass Effect is an RPG series created by Bioware, a titan within the genre. It originally centered around the player character, Commander Shepard, and their journey to save the galaxy from the Reapers, a race of machines bent on destroying all organics. The Mass Effect series almost immediately became not just a video game classic, but a classic of the scifi genre. With its immersive plot, fun setting, and fascinating characters, how could it not?
Tali’Zorah nar Rayya was one of the game's many fascinating characters. A cheerful but sarcastic, nerdy engineer, Tali was an alien forced to live inside a suit, due to her race having an extremely sensitive immune system. She proved so popular that she, along with fellow fan-favorite Garrus Vakarian (don’t ask), became love interests in the later games, and constantly rank among the most popular characters.
With Tali’s immense popularity, she drew much speculation, namely about what she even looked like. Over on the now-defunct Bioware Social Network, she had several private groups, fan communities, and discussion threads dedicated to her.
The BSN was one part forum, one part social media site, one part private-message board host, one part digital market, one part mod host, and one part save-game host. What was relatively impressive about the BSN however was its private-message board. The private-message boards were effectively miniature forums, complete with their own subforums, moderation team, and community rules.
Our story begins in one such private-message board, in a group called Clan Zorah.
Clan Zorah was, as you can likely guess, a private-message board dedicated to Tali. It consisted primarily of people who romanced her. This group, like many of its kind, spent much of its run discussing Tali’s character; sharing fan-art, theories, and more about her.
Mass Effect, like many fandoms, drew people of a wide variety of backgrounds. One of these people was an individual with chemistry experience, known today as Thundertactics. According to a former acquaintance of theirs, Thundertactics was a “quiet and reserved” person, and very smart. They liked figuring out answers to questions, not necessarily out of a curiosity, but out of a genuine enjoyment for solving mysteries. I wasn’t able to ascertain how popular they were within the BSN as a whole, but within the Tali fan community, they were considered easy to get along with and were relatively popular.
With Mass Effect 2 having recently come out, and Tali now being a love interest, the Tali fan communities were in full-fledged fan mode, and Thundertactics was no exception. The constant fervor around Tali, excitement for Mass Effect 3, and TT’s own life experiences would eventually lead them to a question they wanted an answer to: what did Tali’s sweat smell and taste like?
Don’t freak out. TT had a reason for this. And I am assured it was not actually sexual. Allegedly, anyway.
At the time, TT was taking a class on organic chemistry, and had to analyze human sweat for an assignment. While discussing their class on Clan Zorah, TT and their fellow Tali fans realized that because Quarians had a different reaction to bacteria and were forced to live in a suit (think Bubble Boy but more skintight with a bucket on the head), their sweat would likely taste and smell differently from a human’s. At that point, TT decided to reverse the chirality of the analysis. Now, I passed high school chemistry with such a low grade that my teacher was literally in the middle of talking to me about summer school before opening the computer and discovering I passed, so I clearly do not know enough to debate this theory. I also don’t know what was in TT’s hearts. For now, please read their post and come to a conclusion yourself.
The Clan Zorah community reacted positively to the post, with some finding it weird, others finding it interesting, and almost everyone finding it humorously enjoyable. With this exciting reception, TT chose to make their chemistry analysis public, some time in late 2010 or early-to-mid 2011.
With the positive response they received from Clan Zorah, TT was likely excited to share their findings with the rest of the community. It’s important now to note that the BSN was already infamous for being a bit...over the top with characters. There had been meta posts about Garrus Vakarian’s feet structure, the reproductive cycles and genitalia of asari (a monosexed race that could reproduce with all races to create more asari), the taste of Garrus’s sexual fluids (again, don’t ask), and other similar questions and arguments. TT likely assumed their post would go over on the same level as the posts that came before it.
They were wrong.
Sadly, due to the BSN being wiped from the internet, it is impossible to find the exact original thread. But based on testimony of people who were there at the time, it triggered disagreement and argument on the science used in the analysis, mockery, and derision. The thread topic was copied onto Fextralife in July 2011, so a similar reaction can be viewed there. Amusingly, it got relatively humorous acknowledgement from then-Mass Effect writer Patrick Weekes.
Within days, it became the symbol for everything wrong with the BSN, and Tali fans in particular. TT would never live it down.
I didn’t see the Tali post itself while it was up, but I did see Thundertactics around on the forum from time to time. Almost any time they posted publicly, they were called out for the post. Eventually, they began posting less and less, likely moving into the Clan Zorah group almost exclusively. Still, they kept their post public, and they became forever known as the creepy Tali Sweat Poster.
At the same time, forum-wide shipping wars were taking place. Although the Tali fans and Garrus fans (again, please don’t ask, you’ll only understand the Garrus hype if you play the games) mostly got along, the two groups were often in conflict with the fans of the more humanoid characters. The Tali Sweat Post, because of its increasing notoriety over all other LI meta posts, became the most popular ammo against the Tali fans. If you wanted to shut one up, all you had to do was remind everyone that it was that fan group that created the Tali Sweat Post. Yeah, there were tons of other weird crap online, but at least no one else wrote a full chemistry argument to explain the taste and smell of someone’s sweat. Still, Thundertactics refused to take down their post. They stood by their work. But that would all change with the release of the Citadel DLC, in 2013.
The Citadel DLC was the final chapter in the story of Commander Shepard, and served as a goodbye to characters like Tali. Its biggest selling feature was the chance to party with players’ favorite characters. In the DLC, Tali could end up incredibly drunk, and during her drunken stupor, she would say:
Tali: It just smells like sweat. Why would you even ask that?
Now, the Tali Sweat Post was exposed not just to the BSN, but to the entirety of the Mass Effect fanbase. Anyone across the internet could find the post. Having already faced two years of bullying, harassment, and embarrassment, Thundertactics finally deleted the post. Eventually, for a variety of reasons, they would leave the Mass Effect fandom entirely, disappearing from Clan Zorah and the internet.
To this day, in 2021, the Tali Sweat Post still lives on in Mass Effect fandom infamy, a permanent mark on the reputation of Tali fans everywhere.

[English Football] How a youtube channel revolutionised fan engagement while turning one of England's biggest clubs into a laughing stock

Apologies for the delay in getting this one out. I had a spell of writer's block which I fixed with some cricket writing earlier this week.
Welcome to the English Football Hobbydrama series, a deep dive into some of the petty feuds, arguments, drama, and shithousery in the Home of Footballtm. The first six episodes covered Nottingham Forest's 21st century woes, the dickpic that consigned Notts County to the non-league, a reignited rivalry between Derby County and Leeds United, Stoke City's legendary shithouse era, the English Golden Generation of the 00s descending into farce, and Wimbledon FC's controversial relocation to Milton Keynes. A Scottish Football spin-off also explored the story of Rangers' liquidation.
Today we have the first instalment focusing on one of the 'big clubs' of the Premier League, I have generally focused this series on clubs which don't have worldwide fame and fanbases, but the drama is just too spicy to ignore. Welcome to the wild ride of Arsenal Fan TV
Background - The Establishment Club
Arsenal long enjoyed a reputation as a staid yet respectable club, part of the furniture in the First Division. They are the long serving top flight club, being continuously in that division since the end of the First World War. Arsenal is also the record FA Cup winner, winning it 14 times (and being the current holders), along with being London's most successful club in terms of time spent in the top flight and domestic trophies in a sport where clubs from Northern England have historically punched above their geographic weight.
After 'glory years' in the 1930s the club tottered along in the top flight, generally able to finish in the top-half most years and enjoy frequent cup success, but generally not winning the League title often. Arsenal won six titles from 1930-48 (a period including six years of no official league football), and then won the title only twice between 1948 and 1989.
During this period Arsenal were widely seen as the 'good guys', a classy club who represented a slightly moralistic and small-C conservative way of going about things, playing fairly and treating others well without being unduly worried about winning titles. The headlines of 1950s-80s English football belonged to drama merchants such as Leeds United, Liverpool, and Brian Clough's two East Midland clubs, not to the rather quiet perennial First Division participants from North London.
All this changed in the later 1980s, with Arsenal winning the 1989 and 1991 League titles under George Graham, with the 1989 title being decided in a legendary final-day match against title contenders Liverpool. Suddenly Arsenal were in the limelight as they achieved things like the 1993 FA Cup/League Cup double or winning the 1994 European Cup Winner's Cup. Graham left in 1995, embroiled in a bribery scandal, while his successor lasted less than a year.
Arsenal's 1996 managerial appointment would define the club for a generation. The aptly named Arsene Wenger was a mercurial aesthete of the game with strong views on how football should be played. He strongly advocated for attractive and attacking football in a league where the more old-fashioned playing styles popular in England still dominated, and he signed a substantial number of players from his native France as Arsenal became one of the first teams to have a substantial playing contingent not from the four British 'Home Nations' or the Republic of Ireland.
Wenger's Arsenal is remembered for the 'Invincible' season of 2003-04, when Arsenal became the first club ever to go unbeaten in a 38 game season (the only previous 'Invincible' season, that of Preston North End in 1888-89, was in a smaller league with a 22 game season). They had won two League titles (those of 1998 and 2002) before this legendary season, as well as three FA Cups and two League Cups and being the losing finalists of the 2000 UEFA Cup, but this was definitely Arsenal's peak achievement under Wenger.
Arsenal won the 2005 FA Cup and became the first London team to reach a Champion's League final in 2006 (losing to Barcelona), but generally the flurry of honours under Wenger slowed.
By 2012 Arsenal had not won a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup and many fans started to feel the magic was dying off. Fortunately for them, they were to gain a legendary platform to air their views
Enter Robbie
Robbie Lyle had worked in media as a presenter on BBC radio specialising in reggae music but now found himself working as a surveyor. In late 2012 he, and a cameraman, set up a youtube channel called ArsenalFanTV, pioneering the concept of fan-led football punditry.
When interviewed in a Vice piece some years later Robbie explained his concept
We’ve all had enough of the so-called pundits, most of whom aren’t even at the games. So I started my own channel to hear from the real fans, with real opinions. That was my aim with the site.
Robbie's idea was simple, but infectious. Give fans a platform for banter, rants, and hot takes, and the content would essentially create itself. Football punditry had long sought to maintain a light-hearted approach with a lot of banter in order to appeal to a generally young and male audience, but nobody had yet proposed to essentially set up a camera crew outside the ground for any supporter to say their piece and have it broadcast.
In the channel's early days it acquired an eclectic stable of presenters and contributors, all of whom had their own 'gimmick'
The differing views on the club created a good dynamic for generating youtube drama. See this compilation of Ty and Claude as Ty tends towards optimism while Claude maintains a pessimistic outlook epitomised by his catchphrase 'it's time to go'.
For the first few years Robbie's concept ticked over, with his microphone becoming a standard feature at a certain spot near the Arsenal ground after matches, ready for fans to deliver the latest hot takes, but it wasn't until 2016 that things really took off.
It's Time To Go
Arsenal finished second in the 2015-16 Premier League, but the trophy drought since Wenger's success days had started to bite. The 2016-17 season was worse for Arsenal on the pitch as they failed to finish in the top four places (important for qualification to European competitions), but it was also the season that ArsenalFanTV gained real notoriety and exposure in the mainstream media.
DT from ArsenalFanTV started flying these banners at matches, drawing attention to the section of the Arsenal fanbase who wanted to part with Arsene Wenger, in contrast to those such as Ty who wanted him to stay.
After a promising enough start to the 2016-17 season, results flagged and Arsenal appeared on course for their first finish outside the top four since the 1990s. Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville criticised the atmosphere around ArsenalFanTV in February 2017, the first major pundit to directly address the channel and what they perceived as a sensationalist drive towards rants which attracted views.
A piece the following week in the Guardian asked whether these channels really did appeal towards supporters of those clubs, or perhaps gained popularity through notoriety and a steady stream of car-crash moments and on-screen drama.
The strongest ranters, such as Troopz, lent themselves so easily to compilation videos highlighting only the hottest of their takes, and people from fanbases sought to get on in the action. ArsenalFanTV-inspired imitator created viral videos such as this of a Manchester United supporter.
2017 went from bad to worse as Arsenal Fan TV took part in a video collaboration with the tabloid paper The Sun. Any sort of work with The Sun is, to put it mildly, contentious amongst football supporters. In the wake of the 1989 Hillsborough Disaster when a combination of poor policing and a dangerously unsafe ground lead to a crush which killed 96 Liverpool supporters the Sun had printed various falsehoods about Liverpool supporters at the match, and it has been subject to a boycott ever since by supporters of both Merseyside clubs and to a lesser extent those supporters of other English clubs who sympathised with Liverpool's plight. In all fairness to Robbie, he deleted the video and apologised, but more high-profile drama and scandal was to come.
Arsenal actually won the 2017 FA Cup final, their first piece of silverware since 2014. Had Wenger turned a corner, and finally won over the fans spewing hot takes over the internet?
Of course not, things were only just starting for ArsenalFanTV
The players get involved
Hector Bellerin, the Spanish fullback, became the first Arsenal player to speak openly. He was the first ever Premier League player invited to speak at the Oxford Union, the debating society of Oxford University with a strong track record in attracting speakers from the highest avenues of public life for its members. Bellerin essentially questioned whether the youtubers were real fans and suggested that, although players have long learnt to avoid social media, they were making money from resentment and failure at Arsenal.
At about this point, many supporters of other clubs asked 'what failure?'. Arsenal had won an FA Cup the season before Bellerin's comments, regularly qualified for European competitions, and won a huge array of domestic titles within the living memory of most supporters. The 'resentment' became perceived as one grounded in entitlement and a failure to appreciate blessings that the majority of English clubs do not have. Clubs wax and wane, and there are formerly successful clubs in far worse straits than Arsenal (such as Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, and Derby County) yet it was not those clubs who gained notoriety through a youtube channel aimed at allowing fans to air their views and grievances.
Nonetheless, the show continued throughout 2017-18, a season which saw Arsenal once again qualify for the less prestigious Europa League rather than the Champion's League.
In August 2018, the channel rebranded to AFTV, with the club seeming no longer willing to allow the channel to occupy the space it did and use the Arsenal name in full.
The last two seasons
The Europa League wasn't so bad for Arsenal. They made it to the final, as the world enjoyed the irony of two London clubs being forced to play their final in Azerbaijan owing to that country's greater willingness to pay backhanders to UEFA.
It wasn't so good for AFTV. A contributor, Lee Gunner, talked about donations made and profiting over an Arsenal loss when his microphone had been left on over half time. Lee was removed from the channel and never appeared again, but the episode did little to dispel suspicions that the channel was a grift.
This period also saw an interesting story where AFTV influenced the club. Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang developed a close relationship with Troopz from AFTV, appearing on the show several times and inviting Troopz to watch games in an executive box at the ground until Arsenal's hierarchy put a stop to this. Granit Xhaka had been stripped of the captaincy after telling fans to 'fuck off' for booing him in a home draw to Crystal Palace, with Aubayemang being his replacement, a decision which rankled with fans owing to his connections to AFTV which had been perceived as having a vendetta against Xhaka.
A blog piece accused Robbie Lyle of profiting from Arsenal fans' toxicity, interestingly accusing fans who believed in a media vendetta against Arsenal for being too London-centric, journalism in the UK is highly centred on upper-middle class Londoners who naturally write about clubs they are more likely to support, such as Arsenal, Chelsea, or Tottenham Hotspur.
At the backend of 2019, Robbie had a police escort out of Goodison Park, not to protect him from Everton fans, but from Arsenal fans angered by his presence.
It probably didn't help matters that one of Robbie's biggest defenders was Piers Morgan, a man almost universally reviled in Britain for his unscrupulous time as a tabloid newspaper editor.
Even with COVID, could 2020 gives us a bit more drama?
Of course it could.
The lack of fans outside grounds reduced the amount of hot fan takes on offer from AFTV, but Claude was sacked from the channel in the summer of 2020 for referring to Korean footballer Heung-Min Son as a 'DVD' during a game against Tottenham Hotspur, this is apparently a slur in some parts of London for East Asian people who are stereotypically associated with selling bootleg films at markets.
Given Arsenal's status as possibly one of the most cosmopolitan fanbases in Britain (a consequence of playing in Britain's most multiracial area) and Robbie Lyle's admirable work talking about racism in football, for a longstanding contributor to leave on such terms was perhaps more sad than anything.
Conclusion
What have we learnt from this?
AFTV has changed the game of fan engagement in the era of social media. We all have opinions, and the more colourful ones definitely do well with online algorithms that promote the divisive 'hot takes', causing an arms race of extreme views as channels and presenters seek to outdo each other.
Personally? I find it difficult to feel too much sympathy for supporters of a club that remains one of the big players and has given their fans more in the last three years than my own club has achieved in the last generation. But we are all passionate about our clubs, and for better or worse, AFTV pioneered giving fans a viral platform.
